About Inchworm
I come from a family of tailors, so you could say fashion is in my blood. The rich textures of fabrics in certain color combinations hold a kind of magic for me. My favorite fabrics are vintage reproductions and feminine florals. I love when it all comes together into something beautiful. I am most fulfilled when using my creative energy to create one of a kind outfits for children, and I'm tickled to know that there are children across the country wearing my clothing.
I began Inchworm in early 2000 when my son turned one. I had adjusted to motherhood enough to pursue a hobby, so I started making hand embroidered silk and linen christening gowns and rompers. I made them as gifts for friends and also sold them through an upscale boutique in San Diego. Then when my daughter was born later that year, it was definitely time to add dresses to my line of clothing! Until recently, my outfits were in several local boutiques, but beginning in the summer of 2002 I focused all my efforts on eBay and custom orders.
